Description

Vacuum Dial Gauge

The Vacuum Dial Gauge is a reliable mechanical pressure measuring instrument designed for accurate measurement and local indication of vacuum pressure in industrial and process applications. It measures pressure below atmospheric pressure and provides a clear reading through an easy-to-read analog dial.

The gauge operates using a mechanical sensing element that responds to changes in vacuum pressure. The resulting mechanical movement is transferred to the pointer mechanism, allowing the operator to directly observe the vacuum level on the calibrated dial.

With its simple construction, reliable operation, and no external power requirement, the Vacuum Dial Gauge is suitable for monitoring vacuum conditions in pumps, pipelines, tanks, condensers, vacuum systems, filtration equipment, and industrial process machinery.

Key Features

  • Accurate vacuum pressure measurement
  • Clear and easy-to-read analog dial
  • Mechanical operation with no external power
  • Rugged industrial construction
  • Reliable and stable performance
  • Multiple vacuum ranges available
  • Stainless-steel construction options
  • Various dial sizes available
  • Multiple process connection options
  • Suitable for continuous vacuum monitoring
  • Low maintenance requirement
  • Long service life
  • Suitable for demanding industrial environments

Working Principle

The Vacuum Dial Gauge uses a mechanical pressure-sensing element to detect vacuum pressure. When the pressure inside the connected system falls below atmospheric pressure, the sensing element undergoes mechanical deformation.

This movement is transferred through an internal mechanical mechanism to the pointer. The pointer moves across the calibrated dial and indicates the corresponding vacuum value.

The gauge can be calibrated in different units such as bar, mbar, kPa, inHg, or mmHg, depending on the selected model.

Advantages

The Vacuum Dial Gauge provides a simple and dependable method of monitoring vacuum pressure directly at the process point. Since it operates mechanically and does not require electrical power, it can be used in locations where electrical instrumentation is unavailable or unnecessary.

Its rugged construction allows it to withstand typical industrial operating conditions, while the clear analog dial enables operators to quickly identify changes in vacuum pressure.

Different vacuum ranges, dial sizes, process connections, and materials allow the gauge to be configured according to specific application requirements.

Installation & Operation

The Vacuum Dial Gauge should be installed using a process connection compatible with the system pressure and vacuum conditions. The gauge should be mounted in a location where the dial can be easily viewed and protected from excessive vibration, mechanical shock, and temperatures outside its specified operating range.

For systems experiencing pulsation or rapid pressure fluctuations, suitable accessories such as snubbers, dampers, or isolation valves may be used to protect the sensing mechanism and improve reading stability.

The selected gauge range should be suitable for the expected vacuum operating range to ensure reliable measurement and prevent over-range conditions.
